True Sports Fans

Ever since I was a child I have been an avid Patriots and Celtics fan. So much so that when I was younger and one of them lost all hell would break loose. Temper tantrums, anger, sadness and irritability were just the tip of the iceberg. Particularly for the Patriots. Contrary to the better half of the past decade, the Patriots weren't all that impressive to watch, The Celtics were a whole different story of mediocrity and embarrassment. These are the times true fans are put to the test, when all odds are against your team being successful but you sit there and hold out for that hope that maybe just maybe they will surprise you just one time. That's what a true fan is. Win or lose they're there. They may trash talk their team endlessly, venting frustration about how "terrible" or "stupid" WE are; but if you're not a fan you better watch what you say. This is what frustrates me about sports fans today. More specifically fans that aren't truly fans. This became more and more evident with the recent success of the Boston Bruins. Personally yes I'd like to see them win. They're a local team and if I was watching that's what I'd go for. To be brutally honest I've never had much interest nor have I watched a whole lot of hokey and I'm not about to change that fact just because they suddenly are winning games. This type of bandwagon fan frustrates me endless. People with no knowledge or interest in the game let alone the team all of a sudden come out of the woodwork and proclaim themselves avid "fans" just in time for the "big game". Really? I know we would all like an excuse for why we are bombed on a Tuesday afternoon but you're not fooling anyone when you say its because "ooh big Bruins game". Lets be realistic, Hockey had lost so much interest in the US. that it almost went under with the combination of the lockouts and dwindling ticket sales. Now suddenly the bruins do something late in the season and everyone jumps on? So to be honest I found slight humor in the recent playoff collapse. Time to separate the fans from the phonies. Lets see how many of these "fans" show up next year and the following if the Bruins go the route of the rest of the New England sports disappointments......I'm still not over that super bowl......C'mon Welker you could have sealed that game.....

Too far? What would you do to your interior?

In the world of customizable cars the options and possibilities are basically up to your wallet and your ever expanding imagination. Unfortunately when a large wallet and a larger imagination get together, we can get some really strange outcomes. Take for example the hello kitty car. OK; originality I give you a 12 out of a 10pt scale. I wouldn't have thought about it, but then again I'm not a 12 year old girl. Seriously holy crap, hello kitty called, then it projectile vomited all over interior of your car. Who would want to be caught dead in this? If I had a choice between driving this car or walking 100 miles with a broken leg you better grab my crutches because I have a hell of a walk ahead of me. I really want to know who drives this thing, so I can turn them in for driving without a license because there is no way the owner is over 16......

Landing your dream job

This one is an absolute classic from the beginning. It's almost time for graduation, so that means interview time for college grads, or perhaps just looking for a summer job? Either way there's no better way to hit a home run at your dream job interview than to adapt the innate skills of these two mind factories. If you can just come away with half of their interview presence than you're bound to be hitting six figures in no time at all.

Back to the future then back to now...

Yesterday at work I got into a interesting conversation about cars which somehow lead to the DeLorean. For those of you not familiar with what talking about, I'm referring to the car used in the back to the future movies that were played in the 80's. Long story short, the conversation got my interest flowing and I came upon this video depicting the Delorean in all its glory.
